I’m sorry, Literary World, but Michael Ondaatje is not my favorite writer. (And, yes, I do read books that have no pictures and more than 40 pages.)

But, I might have to give him another chance. Why? Oh, for a really solid reason: apparently our kids share the same name. Check out the lovely poem he wrote for his Griffin. 

Just don’t try and make read The English Patient again.
